Grey Hair

In Neverness to Everness, grey hair has a certain tone. It often is a mark of composure, of distance, or of a slight connection to the anomalies. But in Hethereau, with glass towers and neon reflections on wet asphalt, gray or silver hair does catch the ambient color in a way that darker shades don’t. In daylight, it can read as clean and modern, shifting to something colder and more mysterious at night. This color is used in many Esper designs to balance understated fashion with a quiet sense of power.

Players seek out grey-haired characters as they make the perfect wallpaper. The color is quite versatile and works well in bright UI layouts and dark themes without clashing. It’s a go-to reference for artists studying lighting, particularly how blue, pink and purple city lights interact with desaturated tones. It also goes well with techwear and minimalist outfits, and is a good base for character design. Grey hair is not simply neutral in NTE. It’s intentional.
