Hairpin
In Neverness to Everness, a hairpin is rarely mere decoration. Hethereau’s style is all about the little touches, the deliberate ones, and her hair accessories tend to have personality or subtle symbolism. A simple metallic pin might reflect neon signs as you drive at night, while a stylized or branded one might hint at factional affiliations or personal history. Even a hairpin on Espers can seem intentional; the incongruity of grounded streetwear and the weird energy of anomalies.
Hairpins are important to players and artists, because they support close-up compositions. They add visual interest without overwhelming the design, and so are ideal for portrait-style wallpapers. Artistically, hairpins also come in handy to study contrast of materials, matte hair vs reflective surfaces, and how tiny highlights behave under city lighting. In NTE character design, these details contribute to selling realism. A strategically placed hairpin can give a character a lived-in feeling, like someone you might see on a Hethereau sidewalk at midnight.
