Smile
In Neverness to Everness, a smile is many things. At times it’s friendly. At times it’s teasing. And sometimes it’s like the character knows more than they let on. That layered mood plays to Hethereau's strengths, where clean city lights and strange supernatural undertones sit side by side. A smile can soften a streetwear-heavy design, or make an Esper even more unsettling when the expression doesn’t quite match the situation. It is very effective in close-up art where the face has to carry the whole scene.
Players and artists want images of smiles . The expression is what makes the character appealing . A good smile can personalize a wallpaper even when the background is just a city street or a parked car under neon lights. It's also a handy reference for mouth shape, eye tension, and how a character's mood changes with just a small shift in expression, for artists. It matters in NTE. The city is noisy but a smile can cut through it fast.
